June 2023

June will always be a month of LIFE for me. Both my children were born this month and the garden is at its best in June. In the gardening year June is the beacon of hope. The evenings are longer meaning we can venture into the gardens to tinker in the evening light and there is so much we can do. The plants begin to grow faster, they require weekly feeding and watering (depending on the weather), weeding and spraying. But the colour is like no other in the year, all the leaves are a fresh green with no signs of fading fading, by contrast with September. And it's warm! Goodbye frosts! Hello sunshine!
